Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.
Here is the latest commitment.
Player: Jonas Aidoo
Class: 2021
Committed to: Marquette
Phenom Hoops Breakdown:
What Phenom Hoops has said in the past:
“His archetype is almost non-existent because his blend of skill and physical tools is so unique. Already a comfortable seven-feet tall, Aidoo is really just beginning to add the proper strength to effectively carry out his game on a nightly basis. He works well out of the post and can easily space the floor for catch-and-shoot threes. Aidoo is a high-level rebounder and rim-protector with a skillset that is constantly improving.” – January 2020
“What makes him special is his ability to be great on both sides of the ball. He is an extremely special talent. He has a great feel for the game. Runs the floor really well. Great hands when catching dump off passes and lobs. Tremendous touch scoring around the rim and on the perimeter.” – Nov 2020
“Aidoo’s ascension to arguably the top long term prospect in NC’s 2021 class has been really really fun to watch. He’s a true footer with excellent timing on the defensive end, much improved strength on the glass and a unicorn like skillset on the offensive end of the floor. Aidoo is a confident scorer from all three levels and can be used as a floor spacer or sit in the dunkers spot to collect easy jams on little dump-off passes. His improved strength with the ball allows him to be more of an inside presence on that end of the floor. He can make jump hooks over either shoulder, hit off the dribble jumpers, and is just the epitome of a mismatch on the offensive end. Jonas isn’t 18 years old yet and is still scratching the surface of what he’ll be down the road as he continues to work on his game.” – Oct 2020
