What to Watch for at Phenom Team Camp

This upcoming weekend, Phenom Hoops will travel down to Rock Hill, South Carolina, to host our annual June Team Camp. The event always features a slew of the most talented teams and individuals within the Carolinas, and this year’s will be no different. Leading up to the event, we will take a closer look at players and subplots to monitor. We will start with Colton Kreger and the new-look Powdersville…

Following back-to-back strong seasons for the Patriots, it’ll likely be an uphill battle going into next season. They’ll graduate their top four players, who accounted for 50.9 PPG (75% of their total scoring) last season. Now, this group will need Landen Sullivan, Kaden Whitmer, and Kreger to make the next step within their respective developments. While guys like Sullivan and Whitmer have shown impactful flashes, it’ll be interesting to see how Kreger asserts himself as a leader. At our most recent SC Sophomore 40 Camp, he highlighted a lot of enticing tools and upside on both ends of the floor. So, what will he bring to the table?

Kreger is a smart, blossoming forward with an intriguing blend of size, rebounding instincts, and two-way versatility. He plays hard, which naturally leads to hustle plays and his consistent involvement on the glass. Kreger possesses a useful array of skills and can score the ball in various ways, but will need to become more efficient. Regardless, folks should expect his production to take a massive leap forward. Outside of Kreger and the aforementioned duo, guys like Colin Campuzano, Riggs Savage, Tyree Young, Dawcen Wheeler, and Jackson Miller should each have the opportunity to carve out a meaningful role for this group. Coaches and spectators can get an early look at this group this coming Friday.
