Carmel Christian has produced some strong talent, whether it has been well-known names that have gone to D1 programs or players that have been a bit underrated and have contributed to other programs.  When talking about this year’s group, 2025 Bryce Slay will get plenty of attention, but we are here to talk about three guards that can and have produced in the past, and could be sneaky gets for programs at the next level.

2025 Chandler Kennedy:

Kennedy is one of the senior guards that I really enjoy and believe he could be such a terrific steal for a future program, especially with the tenacity and energy he plays with. Kennedy is one that plays bigger than his size, using his quickness to create and get by defenders, attack well off the dribble, play within the offense, and knock down open shots.  But his impact on the defensive end maybe even more impressive, playing scrappy defense and getting into opponents to create havoc.  His impact can be felt in a variety of ways, and I think that it could translate well to the next level

2025 Miles Leaks:

Leaks is a new name to this program but certainly has been making his game felt here in Nth Carolina for quite some time now.  He is a high IQ guard that not only shows that he can be an effective scoring option but does extremely well in playing within the offense, not forcing much on the court, being a creator for himself and others, and one that brings a nice all-around game to the court. I really like his pace and feel with the ball in his hands, picking his spots, competing on both ends, and knowing how to be a strong floor general on the court.

2025 Braylen Bowman:

Bowman is another sneaky prospect to keep an eye out. He is a quick guard that shows flashes of his vision and feel, his defensive awareness, and his ability to contribute on the offensive in either knocking down shots or using his body to create.  Bowman is a nice glue piece that is reliable, communicates well, and plays under control.
