The story of game 1 had to be the point guard match up between the guards. It was spectacular, and off the charts battle that saw both players get were, and what, they wanted at each level.

Hickory Grove Christian was led by 6'4' super sophomore AJ Smith. Still relatively unknown, expect Smith to really blow up over the coming year. He is a strong framed, downhill guard who plays both ends of the floor very aggressively. He finished this game with a double/double at 29 points and 12 rebounds. He is one to expect the high majors to get excited about.

Not to be outdone, 6' senior Raishaun Brown played out of his mind for Asheville Christian. The guard played quickly and showed have the ball on a string. He scored the ball at a high rate. He displayed quick hands on both ends of the floor and knocked down 5 3s. He's a scholarship player without question and should have division 1s looking in.

6'9' sophomore Jacori Owens for Hickory Grove Christian had 13 points to go with 5 blocks and is one who should be looked at closely moving forward. Also, 6'3' 2020 Tyler McKinney of Asheville Christian had, yet another, stand out performance. He is a guy who always makes the right reads, be it distributing the ball or scoring it.
