It is a big week for Phenom Hoops as we continue to release our newest rankings here in North Carolina, as we started off with the Class of 2026. This is a class that has plenty of talent of all levels, as several names saw a significant uptick with what they have shown as of late. We dive in a little on a few players that saw a big uptick in our latest rankings.
2026 Rankings: https://www.phenomhoopreport.com/2026-north-carolina-rankings-watch-list/
2026 6’5 Bradley Floyd (WS Christian)
Floyd has been moving up the rankings with Phenom Hoops, and I believe that there is still room for growth in his game. This is why I’m eager to see how he can develop at WS Christian, but there is already a lot to offer with his game. He brings a ton of versatility and impacts the game in so many ways, whether it is scoring, facilitating, rebounding, or defending. Floyd offers a lot on the court, and we are eager to see him on a bigger stage this upcoming season.
2026 6’11 Rares Trandafir (Rabun Gap)
Trandafir was one that we didn’t know much about but burst onto the scene last year at the Phenom Ish Smith. One can’t help to notice his game and how he can operate as a 6’11 prospect. He understands how to space the floor, has tremendous touch, sees the floor and makes high IQ plays, and really presents touch matchups for opponents. Trandafir can finish at the rim or is comfortable stepping up, as well as impacting the game defensively
2026 6’3 Jyi Dawkins (Ben L. Smith)
Dawkins is another player who has elevated his game to another level and has been putting college coaches on notice. Dawkins has a tremendous blend of athleticism, quickness, and assertiveness offensively, showing his ability to create well for himself and knock down open shots comfortably from an array of levels. Really liked his overall activity and all-around game, and he should be another big weapon at Ben L. Smith.
2026 6’8 Jordan Buzzard (East Meck)
Buzzard has continued to see his stock rise and could see an uptick even more if he continues to play at a high level. Buzzard, a 6’8 prospect, can really be a tough matchup on the court with his comfort level from the outside but also his footwork/speed in his ability to operate in the paint. Buzzard has a fluid release, can pop out and make plays off the bounce, and helps a lot in other areas such as rebounding.
2026 6’11 William Stevens (Davidson Day)
Stevens continues the trend of bigs here in biggest stockrisers but this is one that we have talked about on several occasions before. Stevens offers a lot with his game but also still has a ton of potential to tap into, especially with his legit size, his length, his comfort level offensively in stepping out, and his impact on both sides of the court. Stevens continues to get stronger and understand where he can excel, as college programs are really noticing his true potential and impact on both sides of the court.
2026 6’6 Tarris Bouie (Chambers)
We have really enjoyed watching Bouie over the years develop and see just how assertive he can be on the court. He has a strong mindset in understanding his ability to create and make plays, showing that he can be that high-flyer out in transition and at the rim but also be a tough matchup with his length and shot-making ability. Bouie brings instant offense to the court and creates a lot of issues with his 6’6 frame and length, which is why schools are making him a priority.
