Here are some big men that made a statement during Teammates Nationals.
2021 6’7” Earl Burgess lll
Earl was one of the most dominant big men during the weekend. Expanded his game with a nice shot from outside the paint but most of his points came from hustle rebounds and points in the paint. Had some great dunks and blocks throughout the day. Earl always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Double-double machine.
2024 6’6” Sammie Yeanay
Sammie was impressive all weekend. He’s got a great mix of strength and athleticism. You could never tell he just started playing 16 months ago because of how polished he is on the offensive end of the court. He’s an excellent defender & only leaves his feet when he needs too. Looking forward to seeing his progress.
2022 6’8” Trey Ramsey
Trey started the weekend off with a huge 31 point and 30 rebound game. He can step out & shoot the 3-pointer but prefers to bang inside the paint. He’s a good shot-blocker & moves great for a player his size. He also has a high IQ with a good shot selection.
2024 6’8” Brayden Crump
Brayden is probably the best outside shooter for his size I saw. He has a lot of moves & spreads the court. He’s also quick enough to beat larger defenders off the dribble. He’s a tremendous offensive rebounder. He has soft hands and nice touch around the basket.
2023 6’8” Addison Archer
Addison is a special player that has a huge upside. He’s probably the best shot-blocker during this weekend. He’s a high flyer that will definitely dunk on your head. He runs the floor great & always runs towards the rim. He has an improved jump shot with great rotation & arc. He’s one of those tall athletes that can transform his game into a wing at the next level.
2023 6’9” Brock Vice
Brock was a problem on both ends of the floor. He had a beautiful baby hook shot & footwork inside. He works hard for second chance opportunities. He gets to the free-throw line a lot & often capitalized on those opportunities. Sets a perfect pick & rolls with great hands keeping the ball high in all situations.
2024 6’5” Lewis Walker
Lewis is a physical big man that punishes defenders. He uses his big frame extremely well & makes contact on every play. He has strong legs & keeps his balance through contact with great footwork. He has a beautiful up & under with plenty of other post moves in his bag.
