The high school season is quickly approaching here in North Carolina, and we are looking at an array of topics before the season starts. Looking at the Class of 2025, there are plenty of seniors who are looking to make a final statement for their school. Here, we take a look at a few seniors that we expect to have big years and should garner the interest of many, as they look to lead the charge.

2025 Jordan Patterson (West Iredell)

Patterson is coming off an impressive junior season in which he filled up the stat sheet at West Caldwell, averaging 22ppg, 8.1rpg, 2.5apg, and 2.6spg.  Finishing the season with 22 wins, Patterson has been playing at a high level for quite some time, loving the energy he plays with on the court, being tough off the dribble and attacking the defense, staying engaged on the boards to create opportunities, and making an impact on both ends of the court.  There is no doubt that Patterson should only continue to play how we have seen over the last year and have a big senior season at West Iredell.

2025 Jackson Fannon (East Lincoln)

East Lincoln has been led by Fannon over the years and he is coming of a season in which he averaged 21.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.  Being 6’7 and with his ability to score inside and out, Fannon continues to be a tough matchup; he can hurt you off the dribble and inside but is just as dangerous from outside as he hit 103 total threes last year alone.  Fannon clearly leads the charge and looks to do so again as a senior, as I expect more college programs to take notice.

2025 Kenny Vera (Northwood Temple)

What an impressive junior campaign 2025 Kenny Vera had for Northwood Temple, as he finished the season averaging 21.3 points per game as well as helping lead the charge in other categories. Vera’s play allowed college programs to take notice and walk away with offers, and we believe that his play will only continue this upcoming season. Vera’s strong frame allowed him to create and finish strong, get inside the defense to create, and simply being that physical presence as a guard.

2025 Malachi Simpson (Hendersonville)

Simpson is one that I believe college coaches should be looking at more and the proof is there. With back-to-back seasons averaging 20ppg, Simpson brings versatility, athleticism, and size at 6’6 to be able to score in a variety of ways. He is a long, fluid prospect with size, as he can operate and make plays out in the open floor, create for himself, finish well through contact, and step out to knock down shots as well.  Simpson is a solid rebounder and willing defender with clear upside on that end of the floor. He should have a big season once again and college coaches need to notice.
