Rhodes was another electrifying athlete. His basketball IQ was incredible. His court vision was special as he delivered some jaw-dropping passes. Off the bounce, he was a dazzling playmaker. He didn’t take one forced or bad shot all day but when he did shoot it, it was nearly automatic. A sniper but also a true point guard. One of the best I have seen in real-time all year; the perfect floor general. The scrappy hustle and high energy are tremendous and just nasty.
This gem is a natural leader, vocal and intense. The biggest improvement from last season was the focus on nutrition, gaining muscle and strength, and finishing stronger in the paint. Rhode’s goal for the next season is to carry his team to the state tournament while continuing to get stronger and focus on being that do-everything type glue guy in the process.
What sets him apart from other players is his work ethic, his basketball IQ, and his leadership to match those awesome skills. Rhodes might not be the biggest kid on the court but no one out there will outwork or produce more across the board. Coaches will see quickly this perfect floor general has an instant impact.
My final assessment after watching him is that he is a coach out there in a player’s body and can flat get it done on both sides of the ball. This star just loves to play and wants a home. You have to see the impact he will have on the right tram. Get to OK and see for yourself. You won’t be sorry you did.
