The recruiting world has been heating up in the last few months, as players from the Class of 2025 have been making their announcements around the country. American University has been a hot topic here in North Carolina, as they have targeted and been able to secure multiple commitments from the state. 2025 Chris Eagan, 2025 Madden Collins, and 2025 Kamran Prince have all committed from North Carolina and join a strong recruiting class.
These three will join a strong roster already that includes a few other familiar names, including 2024 Julen Iturbe from South Carolina. Here is a breakdown of each of their games and what they hope to bring to the team down the road.
2025 6’8 Chris Eagan
Game Description: “He’s a long, wiry, skilled forward/post prospect with a nice blend of touch, post moves, and perimeter shooting. Eagan finishes well around the basket, but also spaces the floor well and is capable of attacking closeouts against opposing big men. He displays quality footwork, vision, and scoring moves on the block. Eagan is a solid defender with great off-ball instincts and rebounding prowess. He alters shots well inside the paint and understands how to navigate screening actions defensively.”
2025 6’3 Madden Collins
Game Description: “He’s a skilled, wiry guard prospect with the ability to produce from either backcourt position. Collins can reliably pass, dribble, and shoot the ball while making his presence felt as a defender and rebounder. He’s a quality spot-up threat with an understanding of how to cut and find open opportunities but can also create shots for himself and others. Collins offers a steady two-way presence on the court, yet is capable of expanding his production and leading the team when necessary. He’s already a very useful piece but will only continue to get better with additional strength.”
2025 Kamran Prince
Game Description: “Prince impressed with his athleticism and reliable nature. He was the best player on the floor, dominating the game by doing a handful of small things at an elite level. He limits turnovers, finishes at the rim consistently, knocks down open jumpers, and applies great pressure on the ball defensively.”
