Having a chance to watch them this past weekend a bit more, there are certainly prospects that captured your eyes with their overall play. 2027 6’6 Jaden McCandies brings length and scoring as a wing, being able to knock down shots from outside, make plays off the bounce, and showcase his length in bringing versatility to his team; a strong scorer on the court. 2027 6’3 Jordan Autry was another player who played really well, scoring well, getting paint touches, knocking down shots from outside, and overall being a crafty playmaking guard.
2027 6’0 Ricco Daniels is a guard that helps a team win, doing what is needed and stepping up in key areas. He plays with poise, displays a high IQ, and plays at his own pace, while also serving as a scoring presence for his team. 2027 6’5 Aaron Durant brings size, fluidity, scoring impact, and rebounding to this team, shining as a key piece that can find ways to produce in a variety of areas and operate from multiple levels.
2027 6’2 Cayden Simmons does a great job of being another scoring presence on the floor. Playing off the ball, creating and attacking, and also being a strong perimeter threat, Simmons consistently finds ways to help his team. 2027 6’0 Ja’Keis Vernon finds ways to attack and create, helping elevate his teammates, but also being able to finish well and bring production. 2027 6’3 Sayir Dalton is another player who finds ways to fit within the scope of the offense, take advantage of the opportunities, and finds ways to help produce for his team.
Overall though, this All Carolina 17u has a lot of intriguing intangibles on the court and players that offer scoring and impact all around. This is why this will be a team/program to closely monitor throughout the summer.
