What Has Been Said By Phenom Hoops:

“One thing is for sure, there are plenty of programs looking for size and Caslaru certainly brings that. As a 6’10 big man, he continues to flourish as a big man who understands how to operate, be physical, and impact the game down in the paint. He does a great job in getting to his spots down on the block, scoring with touch around the basket but also giving us a glimpse of his ability to pop out and be an option offensively. Defensively, Caslaru alters shots well and covers the paint, making it hard for opponents to attack down low.  Again, as a 6’10 prospect, there are plenty of programs that are looking for size like Caslaru, and he has shown he could be an option at the next level.”

“Caslaru is an interesting prospect with his size and ability, but one can also see that if he continues to catch up on his potential, there is a lot to like about his game. He continued to demonstrate his ability to be a good force down in the paint, operating well over his shoulder, displaying touch around the basket, creating extra opportunities on the glass, and just using his size to control the paint defensively. You add on his ability to step out at times, showing good versatility as a big, and Caslaru is a prospect to keep an eye on more this summer and into the season.”

“It has been fun to watch the big man anchor the paint all weekend long, but he may have had his best performance on Day 3, proving his ability to be a strong force down low. Of course, he brings great size, but he gives you those flashes of his ability to operate down in the paint with his back to the basket, score over his shoulder with touch, and finish strong at the rim. Add on his presence on the glass and his comfort level to step out from time to time, Caslaru continues to bring intrigue.”

“An underrated big in my opinion but also one that is still learning the game and has upside left in his game. Caslaru stands at 6’10 and shows a nice understanding of how to operate in the paint. Offensively, he has a soft touch, displays footwork in how to operate in the paint, and keeps the ball high in finishing, not to mention his ability to step out and face up, knocking down mid-range shots and further. He has great instincts on the glass as well. Caslaru is an underrated big that college coaches should look at more.”
