2030 Lennox Shular and 20230 London Shular (Davidson Day)
The brother duo really captured my attention at the event, as they are two young guards who could be a nice future piece for Davidson Day. Lennox, who is 6’0, and London who is also 6’0, bring such a strong and smooth feel with the ball in their hands. Both can create off the bounce, attacks well and pick their spots, and can score from outside. These two would be ones to watch down the road.
2029 Izaiah Rodriguez (Phoenix Montessori)
Though it may have been a tough event overall, Rodriguez was one who really impressed and captured our eyes with his play. The shifty 5’6 point guard displays a ton of flash and potential as a true ball-handler. He has the ball on a string, is shifty in getting around defenders, creates his own shot well in penetrating the defense, and also can knock down shots from outside.
2029 Brady Rivera and 2029 Jaidyn Mowry (Lake Norman)
Two guards that really grabbed my attention throughout the event, these two could be nice pieces down the road for this program. Rivera showcases the ability to be a true playmaking point guard with strong handles, the ability to create and facilitate, and be a strong scorer as well.
2028 Jayden Daniels (Cuthbertson)
Daniels was a consistent presence every time we watched his team in action. He brings good size and poise to the floor for his team, showing the ability to step up and knock down shots from multiple levels on the court. He hit multiple threes with a smooth release but also created off the bounce as well.
2029 Gee McCain (Lancaster)
McCain had a strong showing all throughout the event, clearly looking to be one of the go-to scoring options for his team. He was strong as a creator, was able to get downhill consistently and create for himself, but also scored from multiple levels. I loved his energy level all over the court as well.
2029 King Lewis (Mallard Creek)
Lewis was one who consistently stood out in my eyes, watching his team over the last few days. Lewis brings good length and athleticism, and his ability to make an impact in a variety of areas captured my attention. He uses his athleticism well on either side of the ball, whether it is attacking and scoring or making defensive plays. All throughout, he brought value to his team.
2028 Khalil Peaker (East Meck)
Peaker was a guard who consistently got it done on the court for his team. He is a tough, rugged guard who competes, does a great job in being physical as well as a playmaker, and found ways to score. He displayed confidence from the perimeter with his shot but had several tough drives as well all throughout the tournament.
2029 Lincoln Crosston (Gaston Christian)
One of the better big men at the event, Crosston grabbed our attention on several occasions with his strong play. He is a forward who understands how to finish strong and be active around the basket, as he battled through contact well. But he did a nice job operating from multiple levels, putting the ball on the floor, and creating a tough matchup for many opponents.
