There is so much talent to be found around the state of North Carolina, of all levels… and Phenom Hoops continues to bring the best coverage around for players to be seen. At the North Carolina Top 80 recently, many premier prospects attended the camp and put their game on full display. But it also allowed others to rise up to the occasion and showcase that they belong as well.
A player that played well throughout the camp and will be one to watch more this upcoming season is 2027 6’4 Seth Harris from Western Guilford. Last year, Harris had a breakout-type season in which he led the charge with 16.7ppg, 7.4rpg, 2.2apg, 1.5spg, and 1.6bpg, as the Hornets finished with a 13-12 overall record.
Harris proved even more this summer and at the camp that he can be a difference-maker in a variety of areas and ways for his team, as we had this to say about his game:
“After flying somewhat under the radar for the last year, he quickly reminded folks what makes him such a difference-maker. Harris is long, athletic, and able to impact the game on both ends of the floor in various roles. He finished at the rim, knocked down perimeter jumpers, and moved extremely well without the ball. Harris is a rugged defender and strong rebounder who naturally outworks opponents with his motor and nose for the ball.”
He has a really good frame for his position at 6’4, he was able to showcase his ability to drive and finish strong along with contact, attacked consistently downhill, and uses his athleticism well to his advantage. If Harris isn’t attacking and looking to score, he finds other ways to be a factor on the court, whether it is competing defensively, rebounding, or just playing with a strong overall motor on the court. All of which college programs are looking for and should notice even more this season.
The Hornets will be looking to take the next step this upcoming season and there is no doubt about it, Harris will be counted on in a big way. But from what we saw with his competitive nature and production at the camp, we full expect him to have yet another big season coming up.
