6’7 2028 Aaron Parker (SE Raleigh) left making a huge impression on Sunday at the NC Sophomore 40, earning MVP honors against the most loaded compilation of talent for a single class at the camp. Parker continues to make his case as someone who can be North Carolina’s number one player before it’s all said and done.

At 6’7, Parker moves like a guard. When you combine his speed, quickness, and explosiveness at that size along with his skill and shot-making ability, he is extremely difficult to contain. He excels in the open floor in transition where he is able to finish above the rim. He has the ability to break defenders down off the bounce in the half court. He can continue to tighten up his handle which will make him even more difficult to contain. In addition, he has the ability to get to his spots and knock down pull-up jumpers in rhythm. He is also capable from 3 when in rhythm. As he continues to become more consistent from the perimeter, that will open up his offensive arsenal even more, making him even more difficult to contain.

In addition, Parker has the ability to impact the game on the defensive end of the floor with his versatility. He is able to stay in front of smaller opponents and forces them to have to shoot over his length, while is he still able to hold his own if he gets switched onto bigger forwards. He really wreaks havoc in passing lanes, where he’s able to anticipate for steal and turn defense to offense.

Even more impressive, Parker might be the youngest prospect in his class. He just turned 15 years old at the end of July, making him young for the class of 2028. Physically, his body will continue to fill out over the next few years. As he gets stronger, his game will reach new heights.

Parker is a no-brainer high major prospect, and if he continues to make strides in these areas, then don’t be surprised if Blue Blood level programs start getting involved.
