2026 Cameron Thompson (Cougars)

Thompson is in for a big season at Chambers, you can almost bet on that.  Whether it was this summer with Team Charlotte or now with the Fall League, Thompson is producing in a big way and proving why he should be on the radars of all college coaches.  He continues to showcase his ability to score inside and out, knock down shots from outside, and use his athleticism to his advantage. Thompson’s impact and motor can be felt all over the court, and I expect him to be the clear leader for Chambers this upcoming season.

2027 Collin McConneyhead (Huntersville Knights)

McConneyhead was a name that really flourished throughout the day and was an offensive threat whenever he touched the ball. The 6’1 guard put on an absolute show throughout Saturday’s games, scoring from all over. He has the speed and athleticism as a guard that can create problems on the court, scoring off the bounce and getting by defenders, attacking and finishing through contact well, and also showing the ability to hurt opponents from outside confidently.  If the ball was in his hands, he was looking to score and put on a show throughout Saturday’s games.

2026 Cam Smith (Team Together)

I think Smith could have a strong, eye-opening season and should be looked at a bit more with what he provides as a senior this year. At 6’6 and with a football frame, Smith plays extremely hard on both sides of the court. He brings tremendous physicality to the table, battling down in the paint, overpowering opponents, carving out space, and being strong on the glass. You have to like his overall willingness to attack the glass and create second-chance opportunities, embracing contact and looking to finish at the rim. But he brings that same toughness on the defensive end, as he will be a big piece for Lincolnton this upcoming season.

2026 Logan Johnson (Slay Basketball)

Johnson was really good throughout Saturday’s play, as he continued to show that he looks to be one of the clear leaders and offensive weapons for Carmel Christian. Johnson has the frame, athleticism, and IQ to create his own scoring opportunities, doing a great job in attacking off the bounce, finding the open spots in the defense, or finishing at the rim.  But his ability to get to his spots for his jumper from multiple levels is quite impressive, especially with his mid-range game. Johnson has a pretty and fluid shot that allows him to operate from all levels with a ton of confidence, as he put on a strong scoring show throughout the day at the Fall League.

2026 Cameron Newman (Fire Babies)

Gaston Christian looked really good on Day 1 at the Fall League, dominating both games and showing a balanced attack with experience.  Newman was one of the key guys, to no ones surprise, as he continues to flourish and lead this team.  He was excellent in making reads and being the spoon that stirs the drink, as he attacked in transition, created well off the bounce, was able to get paint touches consistently, and also knocked down shots inside and out.  Whether it was him scoring or facilitating, Newman was strong in all areas as the senior point guard looks to have another big season at Gaston Christian.  They clearly showed that they look like a strong contender this upcoming season.
