Phenom Hoops LIVE took over Raleigh in a major way, packing out the Raleigh Convention Center with 20 courts of non-stop hoops action and a buzz that echoed throughout the weekend. With emerging talent from across the region taking the stage, this wasn’t just another event — it was a proving ground. College coaches were courtside, scouting the next wave of stars, and the intensity on the floor matched the energy in the building. From breakout performances to deep team runs, there was no shortage of storylines — and we’re diving into a few programs that truly made their mark at Phenom LIVE.

Garner Road Nation 2026

2026 Kellum Brown

Brown is one that we have said multiple times should be earning more attention. A 6’4 prospect that brings versatility, scoring impact, and makes plays on both sides of the floor. He does a great job in mixing it up offensively, making plays off the bounce and using his length to his advantage, but is also a proven player from the perimeter. Expect a big year for him.

2026 Ny’zion Ballard

Ballard brings such intrigue with his 6’7 mobile frame at his position. He is fluid and impacts the game on both sides of the court, displaying touch and feel, comfort at the basket as well as stepping out. Ballard also alters shots defensively and brings a lot of activity overall for his team. A sneaky forward to watch.

2026 Thomas Thompson

Thompson really caught the eyes of our scouts this past week. He is a long, strong, and athletic forward who plays with energy on both ends of the court. He does what is needed for his team, finishes and battles hard in the paint, is active on the glass, and just plays with a motor that coaches love to have.

2026 Landon Henke

Henke, who is a 6’6 prospect, is another one who does what is needed for his team. Our own, Jeff Bendel, broke down his game the best, saying: “Scrappy, physical glue-guy who rebounds bigger than his size and defends multiple positions. Possesses toughness and an excellent motor. Scores as needed.”

2026 Marcus Green

Green is a quick, scrappy guard who plays with tremendous composure and brings an impact with his relentless energy on the defensive side. He understands how to get others involved, makes plays off the bounce, can knock down open shots when opportunities are there, and brings strong overall energy.

2026 Kendall Lanier

Another strong floor general for this team, Lanier shows that he is a proven leader and can find ways to make his impact felt. Whether it is running the offense, being a playmaker for others, scoring when needed, or making it extremely difficult for opponents on the defensive end, Lanier just finds ways to make his game felt.
