Player: Hannah Headen
Class: 2027
School: Chatham Charter
A new name popped up this weekend at the Phenom MDC for Lady Phenom, as we had a chance to watch 2027 Hannah Headen who was suited up with Rising Pros Training. Headen is a 5’6 guard who plays at Chatham Charter and is coming off an incredibly impressive freshman season in which she averaged 18.5 points per game (second on the team).
When you talk about her game, she plays with a ton of poise and confidence for a player at her age. She understands that she is one of the go-to options, how she can effectively create and make plays for herself and others and understands how to be an efficient scorer on the court. Headen is a strong ballhandler who knows how to create space for her shot, and she doesn’t need much space or time to get her shot off. She is confident in penetrating and finishing, as well as stepping out and showing her range from multiple levels on the court. Headen also was able to flourish as a guard that simply controlled the game, competed, one that makes high IQ plays, and simply knew how to be effective when on the court. Watching her on the court, we liked her motor and drive, her competitive nature on both sides of the ball, and she is one that has a lot of potential and see her having a HUGE sophomore season here in North Carolina.
