Phenom Hoops continues their coverage in the recruiting world, as we introduce you to a 2025 6’3 prospect that has the attention of a few in-state programs early. Zachary Foster, who is from Georgia, announced that he received his first two offers, from Georgia and Georgia State. Two programs he is familiar with, Foster spoke with Phenom Hoops about each and his thoughts, as well as more about his past season, his excitement about summer ball, and much more.

Phenom: How did everything go this past high school season for you and your team'
Foster: Things went well. Our record and our team chemistry improved a lot. For me personally, my stats improved drastically from last season which I take pride in because I love to see progress in myself year-to-year.

Phenom: What were you hoping to show more about your game this past season'
Foster: That I can be a vocal leader as the point guard.  I also wanted to show my team and coaches that they could depend on me in clutch situations and when the game is on the line. I believe I was able to show that.

Phenom: What is your excitement about playing with the Celtics this summer'
Foster: Getting to play with and against high level competition. And I’m playing with teammates from last year. Our team is bonding, our chemistry is very good. I’m looking forward to our out-of-state tournaments.

Phenom: Recruitment is getting off to a good start. How was it getting those first two offers from Georgia and Georgia State' Thoughts on schools'
Foster: It was very exciting. Mostly that the work I’ve been putting in is being seen by two great in-state universities was the best part.  I also feel extremely blessed to be in this position. I’ve visited both campuses and been to their games. Both have new coaches but I’m familiar with both of them.

Phenom: Anything stand out when you made those visits'
Foster: Georgia State is downtown Atlanta, so that was cool and different. My sister goes there. Georgia has a big gym and a large green campus. Also, football is big there too.

Phenom: Do you know who else has been showing interest'
Foster: Those were the two schools that I had visited. I also visited Georgia Tech and went to a practice, but that was before the coach left.
