Wasatch Academy continues to produce some terrific talent you see playing at the next level, and 2024 Jeremiah Johnson is just another prospect that has been playing well in leading the team and has been hearing from college programs around the country. Helping lead his team in scoring this season, Johnson’s recruitment has been staying steady with schools continuing to check in and make him a priority. He gave us a little bit of an update on the latest.
Phenom: What has been going on as of late in your recruitment' Who has been coming around and showing strong interest your way'
Johnson: My recruitment has been good. I’ve heard from LSU, Clemson, Old Dominion, Kansas State, and Mississippi State the heaviest so far.
Phenom: What schools have you heard from the most that have offered'
Johnson: Right now, I hold offers from Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tulsa, Illinois, and Tulsa. I’ve heard from LSU, Clemson, and Oklahoma State. I’ve got way more interest, but those schools are just on me the heaviest.
Phenom: Have any visits planned'
Johnson: Not yet, but I definitely have some in the future.
Phenom: What are things you are hoping for in a school when you look into schools and their style of play'
Johnson: I’m looking for a personal connection on and off the court. I want it to be bigger than basketball, and I want to be pushed to be a great player. I can play in any style of play, whatever the coach needs and runs, I will excel in it.
Phenom: Do you have any timeframe of when you may want to narrow down or decide'
Johnson: I’ll be narrowing down by AAU season but right now, I’m focused on winning Geico with Wasatch Academy.
