Can 2024 Zion Walker continue his success this season'
One of the top stories in the state of North Carolina has been the play of 2024 Zion Walker, who is putting up incredible numbers so far. Well, TBS is back in action and Walker will be looking to showcase his game one more time on the big stage.
Two top players square off on Day 1
If there is a game that should have fans excited about, Cannon vs. Northwood would be one to look at. Why' You get a chance to watch 2024 UNC commit Drake Powell go up against another premier talent in 2024 Austin Swartz. Both are dynamic, both are putting up incredible numbers, and both are leading the way for their team. Now, they square up against each other on Day 1.
State-Championship caliber teams meet up on Day 2
We spoke a little bit about Northwood above with Powell, but Northwood is an incredibly deep team that has talent everywhere you look. That includes the likes of 2023 Max Frazier, 2023 Kenan Parrish, 2024 Fred Whitaker, and others; all will be in action and looking to make a statement against a team we are quite familiar with, Carmel Christian. Carmel is loaded as well with 2024 Jaeden Mustaf, 2023 Bryce Cash, 2023 Kaleb Siler, and others, and this matchup should be an absolute must-see game here in North Carolina.
Mount Tabor looking to make more noise
Mount Tabor made a ton of noise at the Tyler Lewis Hoopfest, which includes a dynamic brother duo and other players that are making a name for themselves. Our own, Jeff Bendel, wrote about the Peterkin brothers the other day, which you can read here (Click Here). But this is a team that really opened a lot of eyes last week and looks to do so again.
Greensboro Battle
Two teams that may not get all the attention, but the 336 battle between Grimsley and Southern Guilford could be a good one. Two teams that have underrated talent will be looking to put on a show on the big stage but also looking to claim bragging right around the area. 2025 Zacch Wiggins, 2024 Jucqarie Love, and others will all be on the court, and it should be a great battle
Ben L. Smith getting a chance to showcase on big stage at home
With the Phenom Tourney Town Showcase being held at Ben L. Smith, it gives the program a chance to shine and be the focal point of the event, both on the boys’ and girls’ side of things. Both teams will be in action on their home court, as fans from around the area should be swarming to check out the talent, support their team, and see some great games.
