Why We Are Thankful For Phenom’s Joe Miller Invitational
From December 27-30, Wilmington, North Carolina will play host a national basketball tournament as Phenom Hoops brings the 1st Annual Phenom’s Joe Miller Invitational. The historic Brogden Hall at New Hanover High School, which holds 3,500 fans will have 16 Top 150 ranked prospects, 3 nationally ranked teams, and players who are committed to schools like UNC, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Washington.
As we countdown to the start of Phenom’s Joe Miller Invitational, each day we will give another reason why we are thankful for the Joe Miller Invitational.
Reason #20
8 States are Represented
Teams will be coming to Wilmington, North Carolina from 8 states, strewn out across the South east and Mid-Atlantic Seaboard. The distance between Miami Country Day, in Miami, Florida, and Saint James School, in Hagerstown, Maryland, spans nearly 1,200 miles.
All 16 of these teams, all 240 of these players, all 48 of these coaches, and every single one of these team’s families and fans have decided to spend some of their holiday time in Wilmington, North Carolina while competing in Phenom’s Joe Miller Invitational.
Each of these teams know that Phenom’s Joe Miller Invitational will be incredibly competitive, they all know about the amount of media exposure that this event will bring across the country, and they all want to spend some time in the wonderful city of Wilmington, NC and play in one of the most historic gyms in the region.
Without question, this event will bring a wide array of talent. Each of these teams though do have one thing in common, they each possess highly talented and highly recruited players. Players participating in this event have committed to college programs across the country.
Phenom’s Joe Miller Invitational will have teams coming from Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Players participating in Phenom’s Joe Miller Invitational have committed to college programs in the PAC-12, ACC, SEC, Conference USA, Northeast Conference, Patriot League, and Southland Conference. In fact there are eleven (11) players already committed to schools.
Without question, Phenom’s Joe Miller is the best accumulation of talent that Wilmington, North Carolina has ever seen. We are thankful to provide a platform that all 16 of these teams, from 8 different states, believed in.
