2025 6’4 Meleek Thomas has already been regarded as one of the top players in the country for his class, with many national outlets having him as a Top-10 prospect nationally. Thomas, a start at Lincoln Park (PA), recently spoke with Phenom Hoops about everything coming his way and the latest in his recruitment. He discussed his preparation for the upcoming high school, his focus and mentality in growing his game, and what has been going on with college programs and visits.

Focusing on this offseason and heading into the season:
“Everything has been going well, just a lot of colleges have been coming into play, so I have to deal with all of that while focusing on getting better every day, but I live every part of it. My offseason has been good, just maintaining school while lifting and hooping every day, perfecting my craft. My thoughts or goals heading into the season is just to win states, go as far as possible, and don’t let any distraction get in my way.”
How would you best describe your game:
“I would describe my game as a leader, vocal, 3-level scorer, and a player with that dawg mentality that wants to win every game he plays.”
Working on his game to prepare for the upcoming HS season:
“Just watching film on my favorite players and incorporating some of their moves and skills into my bag; other than that, nothing specific.”
Latest in Recruitment:
Thomas’ latest offer came from Missouri, a program that he said had a “great staff and is a good program.” But Missouri is one of several offers Thomas already holds, a list that includes offers from Kansas State, Bryant, Indiana, St. John’s, and Pittsburgh.
Though it is early for the star prospect, Thomas informed Phenom Hoops that Kansas State, Indiana, Pittsburgh, and Penn State have been showing the strongest interest early on. Schools like Kentucky also came by and saw him, and reports have been out Duke will be in this month as well.
Thomas has already taken a visit to Pittsburgh, but he has an unofficial visit to Penn State this weekend along with other visits coming up but no specific dates have been set.
