After an exciting showdown (and victory) against Team Curry in the championship of our G3 Showcase, there were certainly a lot of buzz surrounding Team Charlotte. Their 17U had a slew of guys who were major difference-makers in this contest. However, it seems like a lot of attention should also be directed at numerous pieces within their younger rosters. The program is known for producing high-level prospects at an early stage, and it appears that Tre Raymon might be next in line to be their up-and-coming star piece.

Sure, there are numerous prospects within the program who should justify national-level attention, but it’s simply easy to see the appeal with Raymon. He’s a long, wiry, blossoming wing/forward prospect who already possesses an incredibly enticing 6-foot-7 frame and the makings of a well-rounded player. He’s played up two full age groups throughout the travel ball season. While that would be a gimmick for a lot of players, Raymon is producing quite comfortably against any level of competition. He finishes, rebounds, blocks shots, knocks down jumpers, and moves very well for his size. Right now, Raymon is far more advanced than a vast majority of prospects in the Class of 2026, yet still possesses an insane amount of long-term upside.
Going forward, Raymon will ultimately be able to determine his own fate. His current abilities paired with his overall trajectory could easily make for a special combination. Raymon has been blessed with physical gifts, and already has the collection of skills to be a matchup problem for opponents. He also seems fairly low-maitnenance and willing to continually develop his game. Add in the Team Charlotte coaching, and it’s easy to see a scenario where Raymon dominates over the coming years. He’s already received his first offer (UW-Milwaukee), so expect to hear his name a lot across the foreseeable future.
