It should be pretty apparent, but the 1A matchup of United Faith versus Victory Christian is going to be an absolute bloodbath. Not only are these two squads clearly atop their classification, but there is certainly no love lost on the actual court. Despite playing a brutal schedule, United Faith has been a well-oiled machine, only suffering three losses (each to quality opponents), and stood out as seemingly unstoppable over the past month or so. The roster is largely the same from last season, but the addition of Xavier McKelvy has taken the Falcons to another level. The extremely balanced grouping of Marcus Willis, LJ Johnson, Charlie Hester, and Quinton Scheuermann all seamlessly coexist while their bench mob of Lance Gill, Jaden Quick, Adriel De La Rosa, Xzavier Ivey, and Bryson Cokley each understand how to maximize their respective roles.

On the other side, few teams have increased their talent like Victory Christian—especially within such a short time frame. Aside from Demar Anderson, Caleb Coleman, and Zach Stone, basically their entire rotation consists of newcomers. There’s no shortage of talent between Lewis Duarte, Randi Ovalle, Takai Simpkins, and Tajuan Simpkins, who have primarily carried the offensive load for most of the season. The mid-season addition of Deiman Reyes also provided the Kings with a sturdy interior presence on both ends of the floor. These two teams have been the main shining points in 1A but due to zero head-to-head matchups during the season, there is a lot of intrigue surrounding the potential result. Regardless of who comes out victorious, expect this to be a game worth remembering.
