No. 17 6’1 ’17 Jarmaiel Jeffers (Graham HS)
Jarmaiel was one of the surprise players of the day. He came into the camp with the least amount of hype and publicity, but quickly grabbed our attention with his toughness and grit. We were impressed with his passing ability especially off the dribble. Coach Rob Salter stated, “Jarmaiel plays hard. He does a good job on the glass and is a physical guard. He moves well without the ball and puts himself in position to score.” In addition, Jarmaiel was a tough on ball defender and has good lateral quickness. No. 28 6’2 ’18 Tripp Greene (Forsyth Country Day)
We’ve been blessed to watch the growth and development of Tripp Greene since he was playing varsity as a middle school player at FCDS. Tripp has tremendous basketball fundamentals, high basketball IQ and advanced understanding of the game. He can play both guard positions equally well and has the “clutch gene” in his game. Coach Rob Salter stated, “Tripp is such a good player. He can really shoot it and plays strong. Tripp always makes the right play and his teammates enjoy playing with him. Vaud is a speedy PG that has excellent court vision and passing ability. We loved his unselfish play and the passer friendly guard seems to enjoy making the assist as to scoring. Coach Rob Salter stated, “Vaud had a really good day. As he gets stronger, Vaud will be able to finish more consistently in the lane. He puts himself in position to score and makes the right play with the play.” In addition, Vaud has the opportunity to be one of the better passing point guards in his class in the state. Another freshman that has a bright and promising future! Shawn has excellent length and athleticism accompanied with a matching skill set. Coach Rob Salter stated, “Shawn can really score the ball. It’s hard to believe he is just a freshman. He has an understanding of the game and is very aggressive on both ends of the court. Looking forward to seeing him improve over the next three years.” In addition, Shawn impressed us with his hustle and blue-collar work ethic. He has the ability to finish effectively in the paint and has excellent body control. More importantly, unlike many players, he doesn’t have to have the ball in his hands to be effective. He moves well without the ball and can score from all levels on the court. Definitely, one to track!
No. 55 6’4 ’18 Coby White (Greenfield School)
We were impressed with Coby White when he was a 6’2 freshman combo guard in the NCISAA state playoffs over a year ago. He has grown physically and his game as done so as well and should be in the national conversation as a legit top 100 player. Yes, he is that good and over time, the rest of the country will see what we’ve been saying over the past year. Coach Rob Salter stated, “Coby is a big time high major player. He really pushes the tempo and does a great job finishing in the lane. He gets the ball to his teammates to score. Coby can score from all three levels and was one of the best players at the NC Top 80. He has a very bright future ahead of him and in my opinion one of the best sophomores in the country.” Watch for his stock to explode this summer!

He really shot the ball well and gets his shot off quickly. Tre plays team basketball and makes plays without the ball. He has the ability to play at a high level if he keeps working” While Tre already sports an excellent skill set, we still firmly believe he is just now scratching the surface on his long range potential. In addition, he is just a gifted athlete that can excel in multiple sports. Watch for his stock to grow this summer on the travel ball circuit. That being said, DeAndre has tremendous upside. Coach Rob Salter stated, “DeAndre is still very raw, but has a very high ceiling. If he continues to work, he can play at a high level.” With DeAndre, he has what you can’t teach and that is enormous size. That alone speaks volume in his long-term development. Without question, the potential is there and if he continues to work on his skill set and conditioning, he could turn that potential into reality. We will be interested in following his development over the next few years.
