At Phenom Hoops we are fortunate to be able to be a leader on multiple fronts. Not only do we run sold out events that hundreds of coaches come to watch during the NCAA Live Period, we also run a website that the nation reads and gets millions of views and are the authors of an NCAA compliant scouting service that hundreds of colleges subscribe to. Exposure is our main goal and our events, through the coaches, the scouting service and the website/social media, get a ton of it.

April is a great month for basketball. The excitement of the Live Period is incredibly vibrant and very real. All of the shoe circuits had their events and college coaches were finally on the road, able to watch and target their future players. Phenom Hoops held two sold out April Live Period events and had around 300 college coaches hunt our sidelines. Here are some of the players who stepped out of the shadows in front of these lines of coaches at Phenom Hoop’s April Live Events.

6’7” 2018 Jalen Slawson
TMP Elite (SC)
Phenom’s Challenge LIVE

Slawson comes from a basketball family. His father is in the Citadel Hall of Fame and his cousin (RJ) is a former Top 100 prospect. Jalen has all the tools; great length, deep range and nice explosion at the rim. He defends the passing lanes well and rebounds. Slawson is able to play the 3 or the 4 and do so at a high level. The game is slowing down and things are coming together just at the right time for him. His game should continue to rise as his offer list of Charleston Southern and Jacksonville should continue to grow.

6’5” 2018 Jordan Love
Durham Hurricanes (NC)
Phenom’s Challenge LIVE & Phenom’s Grassroots Tip Off LIVE

Consistently Love showed an incredibly upside as a pure scorer. He came into April with some local love coming off a very strong NC Top 80 camp showing. However, he left April at the top of numerous colleges recruiting boards. The upcoming months should be very fun for Love as he should grab multiple offers. Love has great length and is able to score with feel, touch and explosion at all 3 levels. He is wired for major point production.

6’ 2018 Junior Clay
Chattanooga Elite (TN)
Phenom’s Grassroots Tip Off LIVE

Clay walks onto the court and makes his team better. It is a quiet demeanor, but it is one of toughness and production that forces his team mates to give their all. He is a cat-quick type point guard, who has good length and anticipation on defense. Offensively he attacks the rim with his head up, and is able to find team mates or finish for points. He will win a lot of games in college.

6’11” 2018 Nate Springs
Carolina Wolves (NC)
Phenom’s Challenge LIVE

Springs has all the tools you want physically. He is 6’11” with a 7’4” wing span, he runs like a guard and carries a 35+” vertical. Springs is a name people have known for a year or so, but he is still new to basketball (only playing for 2-3 years). He is a high academic student and his game is very unique. He has a deep and pure jump shot and he has incredible timing on the defensive end. He has had multiple games where he would make 5 threes and block 7 shots. With the ACC and SEC taking notice along with being a priority recruit in the IVY, Springs will have a lot of coaches from all across the board watching from here on out.
