Change a venue, opening back up recruitment, and David Caraher is playing the best basketball of his life right now.

At this time last year, David Caraher was committed to Big East power Butler University. In the past year, Caraher decided to part ways with Butler and transfer from Chapel Hill High School to Wesleyan Christian.

At Chapel Hill High School Caraher was a big fish in a small pond. The 4.0 student loved the academic side of the school however the athletic side didn’t pose the same challenges for Caraher. Playing mostly the four, he routinely posted double-doubles averaging 17 points and 9 boards for the season.

Caraher’s game has expanded out to the wing. Still rebounding at a high level, he is now shooting with deep range and confidence. Not only that, but he is doing an exceptional job passing the ball from the wing position.

This Wesleyan Christian team that Caraher is now on has 4 players signed to go to Division 1 schools and 2 others who are being recruited at that level. Instead of being the man, he is a high level piece of the puzzle. In today’s game at the High School OT Holiday Invitational Caraher finished with 13 points (3-5 3P), 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. His team won by 30 and he made plays.

Caraher is a 4.0 student, has a great skill set, and plays hard.
