Jokhow “JT” Thor 6’9 180 2021 Huntington Prep/Boo Williams – Berry EYBL

Coach Frank say’s: JT is an intriguing prospect as he combines very good shot making skills, ball handling skills and very good scoring instincts with great length. The 6’9 Thor is of Sudanese decent and sports a 7’3 wingspan, he is silky smooth with a sound guard skill set. He has been coached up very well and has obviously put alot of work into his development. He uses a tight crossover dribble move, inside out dribble move and change of pace moves to slice his way through the lane where he uses his length to score at the rim or shoot over defenders. He has a knack for scoring be it attacking the rim or shooting the jumper with three point range. His length and long strides make it difficult to keep him out of the lane and he doesn’t need more than one or two dribbles to get to the rim. JT is comfortable with the ball in his hands and playing off the ball, has a high basketball IQ. His versatility combined with his length makes for a matchup nightmare. He has exceptional footwork and agility, quick feet and is a shifty playmaker. He can shoot off the catch and is also capable of taking defenders off the bounce. His size and length allows him to see over the defense to distribute the basketball, he is a very good and willing passer. JT is extremely fluid for a player with such a lanky frame. He has wide shoulders and his frame will fill out in due time and as it does he will be a nightmare to contain. He has nice quickness getting off the floor and does a good job turning the corner with the dribble and attacking space. Not overly explosive but extremely quick with long strides, has a good middle game, nice shooting stroke and a soft touch! JT has tons of talent and a solid grasp of the fundamentals. He has good instincts and elite athleticism, good lateral quickness and projects as a multi-positional defender down the road. JT oozes with talent and his upside is off the charts. Division I coaches need take note!
