5’9 ’21 Jalen Rochelle (Heritage High School) Knightdale, NC (No. 14)

Jalen Rochelle is a diamond in the rough. He has a tremendous basketball IQ for his age/grade and plays the game with understanding and purpose. We saw three things that stood out from all the other campers. First of all, he has the ability to go with his “offhand.” Many campers didn’t know which his strong or weak hand was. He is a controlled ball handler and plays with an exceptional fast pace at such a young age. Jalen is especially skilled around the basketball and knows how to play without the ball. In addition, he is an electrifying combo guard that can score off the dribble and is quite effective coming off screens. For a player his age and height, he is able to play amongst the trees with his quick leaping ability.

6’7 ’19 Garrett Hien (Hickory Ridge High School) Concord, NC (No. 131)

At 6’7 this kid can flat out play. He has a smooth floor day and plays with confidence and swagger. As a matter of fact, he has excellent court awareness and he brings a scoring mentality with a mid-range game which is a thing of beauty. He is ultra-athletic can face up with explosive footwork first step attack and he finishes above the rim. Garrett is arguably one of the best campers we will see you today. He put on a brilliant offense of performance culminated with two off the dribble Dunks’ in traffic.

5’11 ’21 Zykimius McLean (Overhills High School) Spring Lake NC (No. 34)

This 510-point guard gave us quite a show in the first game. He may be the fastest guard we saw in camp, he is extremely fast running the floor great lateral movement and probably the quickest guard from octopod with the ball in his hand. Exceptional court vision even more impressive was his ability to make the right pass. And as you well know we don’t see a lot of passing at some of these events. ' so his willingness to give up the ball to the open man immediately made him a stand out in led to him having 10 assists in game one. He was also able to knock down a consistent jump shot with good form. He is young and needs to work on his upper body strength small frame not able to take a lot of contact but we look forward to watching him grow.
