How time flies on the court. It just seems like yesterday when Phenom Hoops was on deck in Charlottesville to check-in at Scouts Focus event and watching then eighth-grader Elijah Fisher dominate opponents.

Fast forward to today, we tuned in to Crestwood Prep’s game again New Horizon, as it was a back-and-forth affair for much of the game. Crestwood found themselves down early but 5-star 2023 Elijah Fisher showcased why he is one the top prospect in Canada and around the region, as he went off for 74 points on 28-for-40 shooting, 18-for-26 from the free-throw line, and 8-for-15 three.

Once we heard about his outstanding performance to help his team secure a 119-102 win at home, Phenom Hoops had to go back and check the tap, check-in on Fisher’s development, and how he operated in his 74-point showing.

The 6’6 guard continues to show just how dominant he can be on the court, with his physical nature, his strength in finishing, and his ability to operate from so many levels. When watching, one of the first factors in his game is his patience and ability to create for himself, getting downhill and in the paint, physically bullying opponents that are smaller, and his ability to finish so well. Fisher has such tremendous body control and it can nearly be impossible to slow him down; is like a truck coming down the lane while also having tremendous athleticism/bounce. If he wasn’t able to finish, more than likely he was heading to the line. In the game, he went 18-for-26 from the free-throw line.

But that isn’t the only part of his game that impresses you, as he has a fluid pull-up game whether inside the arc or beyond the three-point line. Fisher reads the defense very well and when in rhythm, stepping into his shot, he shows tremendous confidence in his perimeter shot. He understands with his length, he can rise over defenders from all areas of the court.

There are still some areas that he can continue to improve on but you simply don’t see a 6’6 guard with his body/frame, his strength in finishing through defenders, his ability to create and get paint touches, his ability to pull up and finish tough shots over defenders and from multiple levels, and with his overall impact on the court.

It is why schools from all over the country have already offered him, as he holds offers from Kansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Oregon, Seton Hall, St. Joh’s, Syracuse, Texas A&M, USC, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, West Virginia, and several others.

He also just took an unofficial visit to Texas Tech.
