Lady Phenom is gearing up for another big season ahead, looking to highlight players around the state that could get more attention with their play. A player that could be a sneaky guard to watch out for this upcoming season is 2029 guard Saniyah Moore from Bessemer City.
She is coming off an impressive freshman campaign in which she led a very young team in nearly all categories, averaging 17.5 points, 3.7 rebounds. 2.5 assists, and 3.0 steals per game. She is a good-sized guard who has a solid foundation for the game, showcasing the ability to be a strong scoring presence, whether off the bounce, picking her spots, and knocking down shots from outside. Timea after time again this past season and this summer with Lady Phenom, she was able to provide a consistent scoring presence, playing with confidence. Her ability to impact the game on both sides of the court can’t go unnoticed either, as she is active defensively and in the passing lanes, helps on the glass, and leads by example.
Bessemer City had three freshmen lead the way last year, a roster that was full of youth, but Moore has a chance to elevate and shine even more, being the clear go-to option on the roster. With another year of development and experience, along with a summer ball, Moore is a prospect that has a chance to shine in a bigger light around North Carolina.
