The Winter Nationals with Phenom Hoops is one of the best events to start the season because we not only kick off the travel ball season in a big way, but we also get a chance to see the future around the country. So many players came through the doors this past weekend and left a lasting impression, as we dive in and break down many of their games.
2029 6’2 Rowen Fitzgibbons has really made an impression on our scouts over the last month or so and continued that train this weekend at Winter Nationals. Suiting up for Carolina Bulldogs, Fitzgibbons was able to flourish again with his overall feel, scoring ability, IQ and feel, and potential. It wasn’t long ago when we broke down his game, having said this:
“He is a long, wiry guard who has a balanced skillset, as he has a really strong feel to the game at his age. Fitzgibbons can make plays off the bounce, create and move well without the ball, attack and finish strong, and be an effective shot-maker from multiple levels on the floor. You have to love the balance he brings with his offensive game, as he displays a natural feel for a prospect at his age. Outside his scoring ability though, he plays within the offense, making unselfish plays, competing on both ends, and finding other ways to make his impact felt on the court. He has consistently shown that he can produce on the court, and we are eager to see how he continues to develop his game.”
Fitzgibbons flourishes so well on the court with his overall feel, showing that he can score from all levels, be a true playmaker and creator, blend in well with his teammates, find and set up others, and make quality decisions to allow his team to have success. This is why he will be a young prospect to watch all summer long, as we watch him develop more down the road.
