Player: Leila Yandle
Class: 2029
AAU: Field Force
The travel ball season kicked off in a big way for Phenom Hoops and Lady Phenom, as teams and players took the court in Rock Hill (SC) to showcase their talent. Our scouts were able to walk away with some new names to start tracking, including 2029 Leila Yandle from Field Force. She ultimately earned MVP honors for her team, helping lead them to a championship at the Phenom Opening.
Yandle delivered an impressive performance, showing exactly why she is a player to keep an eye on moving forward. The confident guard was a major factor on the court, displaying excellent control of the game while consistently making an impact from the perimeter.
Yandle was particularly effective with her ability to stretch the floor, knocking down shots with deep range and finding her spots offensively with poise. Her shooting touch stood out throughout the game, as she confidently stepped into shots and made defenses pay when given space. Yandle proved to be a difference-maker from the outside, especially with the ball in her hands.
Beyond the scoring, what stood out most was her composure and control as a guard. She played with confidence, understanding when to attack and when to let the game come to her. With her shooting ability and growing presence on the court, Yandle is certainly a name to continue tracking as she develops with Field Force.
