So many people already know about the talent in the Class of 2027 and 2028, which is why we are talking early about prospects in the Class of 2029 that you will be hearing more about in the coming years. Though they are just starting their story, players are already garnering early recognition from national outlets and are showing why they have a chance to be something special.
We recently watched Indiana Elite 15u on the court, with 2029 6’8 Bob Da Silva being a familiar name immediately with our platform. We watched him back in February with Andrews Osborne and were blown away, as Patrick O’Brien had this to say back in February.
“When watching Da Silva in action, it was hard to believe he is just a freshman but once learning more about him and watching him, it was hard not to be impressed with him. Da Silva offers size, power, and impressive production as a young prospect, but he certainly doesn’t look or play like a prospect in the Class of 2029. He looks to finish strong at or around the rim, and plays with a strong motor on the court, something that was seen throughout. Learning about him this weekend, it was clear that he will be on many D1 radars in the coming years.”
Fast-forward to the beginning of the summer, Da Silva has continued to shine as a strong force and has been garnering D1 offers early on. As a 6’8 prospect, he excels in so many ways with his ability to operate with his back to the basket, score with touch in the paint, and also displaying a blend of power and athleticism on the court. Offensively, he can post up and get to the block, is comfortable in putting the ball on the deck, and also stepping out at times; all along with being a physical presence as a scorer and rebounder. Defensively, he uses that athleticism well to be a rim protector but also moves well in being able to defend inside and out.
When watching him to start the year, he had earned offers from Chattanooga and Youngstown State, but he has now added a big offer from Creighton, and more will come rolling in quickly. The time is now to jump on board, as he has a chance to be an absolute power from multiple levels on the court.
