One of the top promising prospects along the East Coast, 2028 6’7 Isaac Smith is a player that is brimming with upside and potential but also shows a tremendous feel for the game today. Regarded as a Top 100 prospect, he already has the attention of many schools in the region. He recently made a visit to Raleigh to check out the Wolfpack and walked away with an offer. He spoke to us all about it.

Thoughts on offer from NC State and visit:

“I enjoyed the visit it was very interesting and fun for it being my first. I loved how energized and into the game the fans were. I was very excited to get that NC State offer, especially knowing how big their name is. Things I like about the program is the culture, how nice the coaching staff was, and how every player was together on everything.”

How did you hear about the offer:

“So actually, I didn’t find out they offered me until the next day. They were just telling me how I’m very talented and how I’m the type of player they would love at NC State, and then they told me to keep working and they would continue to follow me over the summer.”

NC State now joins schools like Old Dominion, Mississippi State, and Arizona State as far as offers, but that could continue to grow with interests coming from Notre Dame, Penn State, Indiana, VCU, Georgetown, and Virginia Tech as well.

What Was Said By Our Scouts:

“Smith brings an intriguing blend of size, athleticism, and feel that immediately stands out for a young prospect. He uses his length and mobility well to finish around the rim, consistently playing above the basket and converting opportunities with confidence. Smith is active and engaged on the glass, using his frame and timing to create second-chance opportunities. Beyond the physical tools, he shows encouraging instincts as both a scorer and passer, making strong reads and playing within the flow of the game. With his foundation of tools, energy, and developing skill set, Smith’s trajectory points toward continued growth and a very high ceiling as his game continues to mature.”
