A player that schools need to be paying attention to here in North Carolina is 2028 6’8 Camden Hill with Panther Creek, as it was pretty clear this is a forward that clearly should be earning attention and offers from D1 programs.
Hill was a hot topic for our scouts at the Phenom Team Camp, as he flourished as an offensive weapon, showcased his ability to score in a variety of ways, and impacted the game all over the court. Below is what our scouts had to say after the event:

He is expected to be a key piece for his team this season, capable of impacting the game as a primary scoring option, a force on the glass, and a reliable playmaker. Hill has the ability to attack off the dribble, finish through contact at the rim, stretch the floor, rebound at a high level, facilitate the offense, and defend multiple positions. “He’s a fluid, versatile big man with an impressive blend of size, skill, and athleticism. At 6-foot-8, Hill showed the ability to attack opponents in a variety of ways. He’s a quality scorer on the block, displaying touch, footwork, and an array of viable moves, but is certainly not restricted to playing inside. Hill is extremely comfortable operating from seemingly anywhere on the court. Whether slotted on the block, in the midrange, or at the top of the key, he consistently found ways to apply pressure and make plays with the ball in his hands. Hill spaces the floor well from the perimeter, but can also attack off the bounce and get downhill or knock down jumpers in the midrange. He’s a willing passer who sees the floor well for his size/position and is capable of initiating the offense for stretches. In addition to his all-around offensive game, Hill is a quality defender and two-way rebounder. He plays hard, carves out space, and routinely outworks opponents for extra possessions. Add in the fact that he’s only going to get stronger and more refined over the next twelve months, and Hill should already be a real priority for Division I programs.” – Jeff Bendel
Hill looks like a prospect whose stock should only continue to rise as more college programs get eyes on him. With his size, versatility, skill, and ability to impact the game in so many areas, he has all the tools to become a major priority on the recruiting trail. He can score inside and out, create mismatches with his feel and mobility, rebound his position, and make plays for others, which makes him such an intriguing modern forward. Right now, he doesn’t hold a D1 offer, but college programs shouldn’t wait, as Hill has a chance to become one of the more sought-after prospects in North Carolina’s 2028 class.
