The recruitment of 2028 6’1 point guard Max Moody continues to heat up, with one of his biggest moments arriving after securing a recent offer from NC State. Already establishing himself as a young prospect to watch, Moody is beginning to draw attention from a growing list of programs as his game evolves. He spoke with Phenom Hoops about the Wolfpack offer, his development, and the other schools that have offered, as his stock steadily rises.

Mindset to start the high school season:

“This season, I want to prove that I can show up in big-time moments in big-time games, and I also want to show that I’m one of the top guards in the country.”

Game Description:

“I would best describe my game as a true unselfish point guard that can get his teammates going before him, and I also think if I have to score, I can. An area in my game I want to improve is just getting stronger, so when I’m getting pressured or pressed up on while handling the ball.”

Thoughts on NC State Offer:

“NC State is definitely a program I respect. I know they let their guards hoop and make plays. I’m definitely interested and I feel like my game fits what they do because I can create for others, defend, and make the right reads. The relationship is still new, but it’s been positive and I’m excited to keep building it.”

“I got connected to them by my old Coach Randy Livingston,” Moody told Phenom Hoops on how he heard about the offer. “I had a good talk with them the day of getting the offer and they also said there was a potential visit in the future.”

Other Offers:

“I’ve gotten offers from UTEP, UTSA, and Texas A&M.”
