The Class of 2027 continues to impress, and several prospects made sure to leave their mark at Phenom LIVE this past weekend. Whether it was with their scoring ability, playmaking, energy, or versatility, these players stood out in a big way and earned themselves a permanent spot on our radar. With their performances on the big stage, it’s clear this group is on the rise—and they could be popping up on more radars down the road.
2027 Grant Jacques (Rising Pros)
Jacques continues to shine in so many areas of the court: leader, scoring, decision-making… Jacques has shown to be able to do it all for his team. Even with the scouting report geared towards him, he continues to shine with his ability to knock down shots from outside with confidence, create off the bounce, finish well through defenders, and take what is given to him. Jacques can be a strong scoring option but plays within the offense, getting others involved and making good overall decisions. He has been sneaky good all summer long.
2027 Gui Wilkins (MAF Elite)
Wilkins was a newer name for us at Phenom Hoops, but he certainly impressed in a big way. As a guard, he has an incredible knack for finding ways to score and fill it up, proving to be a three-level scorer on the court. With the ball in his hands, Wilkins can light it up from deep, create and get to his spots for his jumper, display wiggle and creativity with the ball in his hands, and be a tough finisher when attacking the paint.
2027 Isaiah Daniels (SC Blazers)
Daniels continues to produce, and I will continue to say that he is an underrated prospect to keep an eye on down in South Carolina. He has the size, athleticism, and playmaking ability to be a force on the court, attacking downhill and finishing high at the rim or through contact. Daniels continues to shine as the focal point for the Blazers and with his overall play this summer, he should be on more radars.
2027 Mandrake Lewis Jr (Team Charlotte)
Lewis, a 6’6 long prospect for Team Charlotte, was probably the most consistent player on the court for his team throughout the event when watching. He played with energy and a strong motor, was able to consistently get downhill and get to the basket, finish at the rim, or put pressure on the defense to get to the line. Overall, I really enjoyed watching Lewis with his overall impact on the court, as he had contagious energy.
2027 Jamarion Washington (7th Nation)
Washington would be another prospect in the Class of 2027 I would keep an eye on. There is a lot to like about this young guard, as Washington has really opened up eyes this summer with his play. He is a strong, physical, and assertive guard who does a great job in creating and attacking. Consistently attacking off the bounce, forcing the action, finishing through defenders, and displaying good speed, Washington can be a true playmaker offensively. I believe he will only continue to shine this summer and into the upcoming high school season.
2027 LJ Jackson (Anthony Morrow)
Jackson has really elevated his game and is really proving to be a stock riser here in North Carolina. He is a true guard that understands not only how to run the show and play with pace, but also to be an effective scoring option when needed. A creative and crafty prospect, Jackson does a great job in making plays off the bounce, making good reads, picking his lanes to attack, and mixing it up well offensively. I think he could be a player who earns more attention in the coming months.
