The Pangos All-American Camp is something special every year. Premier talent comes into the building and scouts/fans get a chance to watch them put their game on display and compete. And it seems that a newer name always seems to shine in a big way… 2027 6’11 Lewis Uvwo has been rising up the ranks FAST, shining on the big stage of EYBL with the Nightrydas, leading the circuit in blocks per game at 5.3, while also thriving on the glass (8.6) and being a tremendous presence down in the paint (10.4ppg).
Now sitting as a Top-50 prospect by most outlets, Uvwo continued his excellent play down at the Pangos All-American Camp with some of the premier prospects around the country. Walking away with MOP honors from the camp, the big man was able to shine with his energy and overall impact on the court, making his presence well-known on both sides of the court. Offensively, you have a 6’11 big man that runs the floor, shows tremendous fluidity at his size, and understands how to be such a big presence at or around the rim as well as operating in the paint. Uvwo brings tremendous length and uses that well, finishing strong at the rim, displaying a soft touch around defenders, and being able to step out as well. His mobility and athleticism as a big is what stand out, especially how well he moves and his ability to finish. However, what I believe helps change the game compared to others is how he impacts the game in other ways, being an absolute monster as a rim-protector with his timing, length, and being able to wall up while also bringing that same energy on the glass. Uvwo just seems to hunt for the ball on the glass, being aggressive and assertive with his impact on the glass, while also being able to protect the basket with strong footwork, tremendous length, and excellent timing.
With his play over the last few months, he has clearly opened the eyes of so many programs around the country, with offers starting to pour in. Schools like Kentucky, Miami, USC, Oklahoma, Syracuse, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Arkansas, and so many others have entered the picture with an offer. However, after an impressive showing at Pangos, we believe that list will only continue to grow as Uwvo maintains his steady rise as one of the premier bigs in the country.
