The Phenom Team Camp brought teams from all over the state of North Carolina to one building, as Session 2 lived up to the hype just as much as Session 1 did. We saw several players that have a chance to play at the next level, but one we were eager to see and learn even more about was 2027 6’5 Jordan Page from Broughton.
Though we had watched him on occasions before, it was great to get an updated viewing of one of the top talents early on in the Class of 2027, especially here in North Carolina. The Class of 2027 is shaping up nicely early on with some of the premier talents of 2027 King Gibson, 2027 CJ Rosser, 2027 LJ Smith, and with 2027 Jordan Page.
Page has an intriguing blend in his game; he has a ton of tools to work with in his game to go along with his overall feel and understanding as well as his size. But he is still one that has a lot of room for growth which makes him even scarier of what the final product may look like.
Watching him operate on the court, Page has a tremendous feel for the game. He has an understanding of how to use his 6’5 frame to his advantage, is able to read and react, has the ability to rebound and push out in transition, and excels well in getting downhill. Page is at his best early on using his advantage to finish at the rim, score off the dribble, get inside, and also be aggressive on the boards to create extra opportunities. At the Team Camp, he grabbed our attention with his motor and relentlessness on the boards, something you don’t see in many plays like what he showed.
However, as we said above, there is still room for growth and development. As he continues to improve in those areas of his game and becomes more consistent, Page should continue to flourish more as a complete player. And the fact that he is only entering his sophomore season, there should be a lot of excitement surrounding this young man and what he could potentially be.
He was able to put his strengths on display at the Phenom Team Camp, and he will be the clear leader on the court for Broughton this upcoming season. Page has a ton of tools for him to be a star here in North Carolina, and we are eager to see how he continues to grow as a player.
