Phenom Hoops had a great opportunity to watch Providence Day in action this past weekend at the Phenom Tip-Off, seeing what the Chargers are bringing to the table. Seeing several familiar faces on the court, 2027 6’2 Columbus Parker earned our attention with his strong play throughout the event.

Parker was a name we knew about with his play down in South Carolina, but he announced not long ago that he would be heading to NC and suiting up for Providence Day.  It was made clear quickly with this team that Parker was going to be a big-time leader this season, being assertive and physical throughout his two events. Parker excelled well with his ability to be tough, using his frame to his advantage, attacking downhill, getting paint touches, and really forcing the action where he wanted to get. He finished strong, ran the offense well, made high-IQ plays for others or created for himself, and also showed a good feel from the perimeter. Parker played with a strong overall composure that college coaches should find enticing, as he made it clear that he will be a player to watch and learn about more here in North Carolina.
