2027 6’6 RJ Moore, who has proven to be one of the top prospects not only in North Carolina but a Top 100 prospect nationally, caught up with Phenom Hoops on some of the latest news as he recently took a visit to Tennessee. The Vols seem to be showing strong interest his way, starting this past summer, and an offer could be coming his way. He breaks down his visit, what kind of relationship he has built, and who else might be entering the picture.
Tennessee Visit:
“We went to tour the basketball facilities, and then we talked with the coaches; also got to do a photo shoot. We got to eat dinner with the team, and then a few of the guys walked around the tailgate area, and then we were on the field. We got to meet Kevin Hart. The game was a blowout but it was a great time. Had a good conversation with Coach McClain and Coach Gaines.”
Building a relationship with the staff:
“They are a great program and are always a Top 25 team. They are very well coached by the legend Rick Barnes. They love my game and think I’m very skilled. They are going to be up to see me this fall for the evaluation period. Coach McClain keeps in touch with me a lot each week, as we have been talking since the first LIVE period this past summer.”
Other Schools Expressing Interest:
Right now, it seems to be just the start for Moore, who holds offers from Georgia, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Charlotte, Rutgers, Utah, Wake Forest, High Point, and NC A&T. In speaking with Moore about who has been strong with him, he mentioned Utah, Tennessee, Michigan, Georgetown, Clemson, and Mississippi State have been consistent, with Utah and MSU being the only two that have offered.
