Player: LJ Rush
Class: 2026
School: 1of1 Academy
Certainly, a talent in North Carolina that deserves the attention of many college programs, 2026 LJ Rush of 1of1 Academy has been having a strong season and proving his talent. One of the more electric and speedy guards in the state of North Carolina, Rush has been flourishing in leading the charge for his team.
When you talk about his game, his quickness, athleticism, and playmaking certainly capture your eyes immediately. Once again, he is electric with the ball in his hands, simply blowing by defenders, attacking in transition, and being a strong scoring presence off the dribble. Rush, for his size, is quite impressive with his athleticism to finish at the rim along with body control around defenders. He also continues to make strides with his perimeter game. No doubt about it, he has proven he is a D1 talent as Phenom Hoops caught up with him on some of the latest.
How the High School Season Has Been Going:
“The season being good overall, started to put it all together. I feel like my leadership has grown a lot, being more vocal on the court. Also, I feel as if my shot-making has grown as well just being more confident in my shot. I have been wanting to show more of my full display of all things I can do on the court as an undersized guard.”
What Have Schools Liked About His Game:
“They like my change of speed and how I get my teammates involved throughout the games they have seen.”
Rush has added a few more offers as of late to his resume, as Jacksonville was the latest school to offer while also receiving one from Richmond not long ago. He also holds offers from UTA, Oregon State, Nebraska, Arizona State, Radford, and Central Michigan.
Schools Recruiting Him the Hardest:
“Oregon State, Nebraska, Jacksonville, Richmond, Liberty, and Virginia Tech.”
He also mentioned that he does not have any scheduled visits coming up as of right now.
