Each and every time Phenom Hoops gets to report or see a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day. It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player. Here is the latest commitment.
Player: Julian Adigun
Class: 2026
Committed to: Harvard
What Has Been Said by Phenom Hoops:
“From a visual standpoint, it doesn’t take more than a quick glance to recognize Adigun possesses an incredible array of physical tools. At 6-foot-9, he’s a very fluid athlete with solid strength, extremely long arms, and a frame that should only continue to develop. Adigun finds a lot of success through playing hard on both ends of the floor. He’s a capable finisher, useful rebounder, and quality defender with terrific instincts for blocking shots—both around the basket and along the perimeter. Though still adding polish as a low-post scorer, Adigun proved to be reliable at spacing the floor and knocking down perimeter jumpers. While most big men look to apply shooting pressure from the top of the key, he was arguably at his best from the corners (widely considered a more difficult shot). Adigun displayed a great understanding of when to lurk around the basket versus when to float out to the perimeter. He highlighted nice touch and the ability to finish through contact or above the rim. There’s undeniable intrigue with his offensive potential. However, Adigun is already a real problem for opponents defensively. It doesn’t hurt to have an insanely long wingspan, but the mobility, switchability, understanding of space/angles, and pure instincts are clear separators between him and others. Adigun possesses the necessary qualities to be a high-level talent.”
“I swear, Adigun is one that is like a “secret weapon” of sorts right now, but I could see him having a big summer and catching more eyes. There is a lot of intrigue with his game at 6’10, his fluidity, and his ability to make plays from a variety of levels comfortably. He is skilled enough to stretch the court with his outside shot and three-point shooting but also presents the size to finish around the rim, run from rim to rim, and make his presence felt defensively.”
“There’s always been a lot of intrigue surrounding Adigun. Now with a clean bill of health, this summer will be the opportunity to set himself apart from his peers. That being said, there’s already so much to like about the 6-foot-9 forward. Adigun is long, athletic, and possesses a nice amount of skill for his size/position. He’s an excellent shot-blocker with great mobility and timing around the basket. Adigun maintains a consistent presence on the glass and runs the floor properly in transition. Offensively, he’s able to finish around the basket, score out of the post, and space the floor at a high percentage. Adigun will be a must-see prospect for college coaches.”
