Player: Logan Johnson
Class: 2026
Height: 6’4
School: Ambassador Christian
A player that has been clearly elevating and rising the ranks here in North Carolina has been 2026 6’4 Logan Johnson, but it had been some time since seeing the young man on the court. From watching him at United Faith to getting our latest viewing at the Carmel Tip-Off with Ambassador Christian, we quickly saw the transformation and development in this young man’s game. After the event, we had this to say:
“It had been a while since seeing Johnson in action and we had been seeing more and more of his game popping up; so, we were eager to see the latest in his development. Johnson has clearly gotten bigger and stronger, but he has also gained a lot of confidence with his game. He was able to flourish in his ability to knock down shots with range. He gets to his spots well, knocks down shots with confidence, and has also added more to his game. When not knocking down shots from outside, he was able to make plays and attack at times, get to the free throw line, and play within the offense to get others involved. After watching him, we can see why more schools have been coming his way.”
Johnson has got bigger and stronger, but one can see that he also has grown with his confidence. His ability and confidence in knocking down shots was quickly noticed, being an effective shot-maker from mid-range and three. But he is also a well-rounded guard who can make plays off the bounce as well. Johnson makes quality decisions, shows the ability to be a multi-level scorer, and truly shows to be an effective option.
Recruiting Update
Looking at last year and fast-forwarding to today, what a year makes for this young man who has been putting in the work and has clearly elevated his game to another level. His recruitment started out slow but schools started to catch on and send offers his way. Schools like Western Carolina, Radford, Duquesne, and North Carolina A&T all have entered the picture over time, while several other schools are expressing interest.
“I have been in touch and talking to schools like Mount St. Mary’s, Appalachian State, Charlotte, Boston College, UNC-Asheville, Richmond, Coastal Carolina, and Florida State,” Johnson informed Phenom Hoops. “Right now, I have a visit planned to Coastal Carolina and I’m looking to schedule one with Duquesne.”
