2026 6’3 Aidan Able, from John Carroll High School, has already proven that he is one of the top prospects in his class for Maryland, and he has his eyes on showcasing more of his overall game. Known for his ability to score the ball, Able has his eyes in showing more of his overall feel and game, and that he is a complete player.

But Phenom Hoops did get a good look at his game this past season at HoopsGiving, where our own Cooper Hart had this to say:

“6’4” 2026 Aidan Able (John Carroll) has been absolutely unconscious today. Hit 3 3s in the first quarter and has his team up 25-9 after 1. Plays with patience, has great positional size, and has an obvious feel for the game.”

Now heading into summer ball with Team Thrill, Able is hoping to put his game on full display in helping lead his team. Which could also bring more attention recruiting-wise, as we spoke about the latest with him. Check out what he had to say.

Phenom: How did it go for your team when looking back at it? What kind of development did you make with your game, and what was your focus throughout the season?

“We finished the season solid; we fell short in the playoffs in semifinals. I think I got better at making reads, better pace, and moving quicker. My main focus this year was for me and my teammates to get better every day.”

Phenom: What were you hoping to show with your game, and how would you best describe it in your own words?

“I’d say showcasing that I am a full player and not just a shooter from what I used to be.”

Phenom: Who are you running with this summer, and what is your excitement about your team/playing with your program?

“Right now, I have Albany, Nicholls State, American, Towson, and UMBC. They all have just been in regular contact with me, but Albany is probably the most contact.”

Phenom: What do they like about your game in general?

“Yes. All except Nicholls and UMBC.”

Phenom: What schools have been showing interest but have yet to offer?

“Recently Princeton, Stanford, and Iona. Iona has mentioned a visit but the others have just been keeping up with what I’m doing.”
