Player: Jullien Cole
Class: 2025
School: Academy Prep

Phenom Hoops continues to highlight players around the country, from a variety of states and for a variety of levels, as we recently caught up with a familiar face in 2025 Jullien Cole. Cole, who once played in North Carolina before heading to Georgia, has had a strong few month,s including his time in Rock Hill (SC) at the Phenom PG Nationals. We dive into some of the latest with him and his recruitment.

What Phenom Hoops Said:

“Cole, who was once playing in North Carolina, was a joy to see back in action and he certainly left a lasting impression on our scouts. Watching Cole once again, you can see the 6’4 guard has put in the work, and he proved that he could be a D1 get for a program late. He has a great frame and plays well off the ball, but is also a tough presence when attacking downhill and embracing contact. Cole finished downhill consistently and through defenders, as well as finding ways to get to the line. Add that on top of his ability to knock down open shots off the catch, Cole gave us a lot to like with his game.”

Thoughts Overall on Cole’s Game:

Cole is one that we have been able to view over the years, whether it was when he was playing in North Carolina or most recently at our PG Nationals back in March with Academy Prep. When viewing him though over a month ago, you could see Cole has continued to develop as a player. He was able to flourish at his best with his 6’4 frame and getting downhill, being physical and finishing, and just being a playmaker for himself. But can also be an option from multiple other areas and positions, as he brings good versatility to the court.

Recruitment Update:

Cole held an offer from Shaw and recently picked another big offer from a D2 program, UNC-Pembroke, a program that is very familiar with him from his time in North Carolina. Cole is also familiar with the program, with one of his friends/ old teammates going there in Bradlee Haskell. Could UNCP be the place in the end' Possibly, time will only tell, as Cole did receive some other JUCO offers not long after, as well from Wabash and Paris. He also mentioned that he has earned interest from Young Harris, Georgia State, and Georgia Southern as well.
