What Was Said by Phenom Hoops
“Dixon has an unselfish feel to his game, always looking and reading what the defense gives him, finding open teammates, and showing patience as well as vision. But it was a balanced attack with him not only getting others involved but also capitalizing on scoring opportunities. Dixon really filled up the stat sheet in an array of ways and brought a lot of value to his team.” – Patrick O’Brien from NBPA Top 100 in 2024
More about his game and What he brings to North Carolina:
When you watch more of his game, Dixon shines in a big way with his overall feel and just how smoothly he operates on the court. Watching him at the NBPA Top 100, he played with such poise and flourished as a playmaker, playing his speed, making high-IQ plays and decisions, and just taking what was given to him. With how North Carolina is shaping up over the years, Dixon will not only be able to help run the show, be a facilitator, and get others involved but also be an effective scoring option. He consistently shows that he can knock down shots from outside, something that will help the Tar Heels. Dixon has a ton of confidence from behind the arc, being a strong shooter from behind the arc. But he also plays on and off the ball, giving UNC another ball-handler, and one that will be able to not only create off the bounce but also excel out in transition, finding open teammates, and setting up others for easy baskets. Overall, his blend of playmaking and scoring is impressive and should be a tremendous help down the road., especially with what North Carolina could potential be losing at the guard position in the coming years.
