2024 Micah Robinson is a player that really grabbed our attention this past high school season, and he has been continuing that trend to start the summer. The 6’5 prospect brings an intriguing game to the court with his versatility, his overall impact, and his ability to score and defend from multiple positions. Playing with Southern Assault this summer, Robinson has been on full display and is coming off a tremendous weekend. He talks about the start of the summer, more about his game and development, and some of the latest in his recruitment.

Robinson’s Game by Phenom Hoops: The 6’5 athletic prospect brings a ton of versatility to the floor and is one that just knows how to fill up the stat sheet when he is on the court. Impacting the game on the boards, flying high to finish multiple throwdowns, stepping out confidently from three, and being able to play multiple positions, Robinson knows just how to make the most of his minutes on the floor.”

Phenom: How did everything go this past LIVE period for you and the team'
Robinson: It was great! The team played really well. This was the best weekend for us so far, and we’ve only had three full practices with the whole team. I feel like I did really well offensively and crashed the glass, emphasizing rebound and getting out in transition.

Phenom: What has been your mindset to start the season'
Robinson: So far, this summer my mindset has been to be more aggressive and assertive offensively because that was one of the main things people were questioning whether or not I could do. Also being aggressive, and continuing to show the other things that I can do that impact the game such as rebounding, creating for teammates, and defending.

Phenom: How has your game continued to develop over the last few months'
Robinson: I would definitely say being more comfortable with the ball in my hands, like dealing with pressure, creating my own shot, and reading defenses quicker on passing reads and things of that sort. Also, I would say my consistency with my jump shot. Over the past season, I’ve shot the best percentage by far in my high school career, which is heavily due to the work I’ve put in with my trainers.

Phenom: Recruitment has been going well. Received a new offer from Oklahoma, but what has been going on with you overall'
Robinson: It has been going really well. I spoke with COach Moser earlier and picked up the Oklahoma offer. Other than them, I’ve been hearing from Virginia Tech, Virginia, Texas Tech, LSU, Seton Hall SMU, Arizona State, George Mason, Colorado, TCU, Mississippi State, Illinois, and Arkansas.

Phenom: What offers do you currently hold'
Robinson: Oklahoma, LSU, Mississippi State, TCU, Arizona State, Seton Hall, SMU, and George Mason.

Phenom: Have any visits planned or schools you want to check out'
Robinson: So no visits planned yet but I’ve been in talks with some potential to SMU, LSU, and TCU. But over the summer, I’m going to be looking to take as many as possible, so Texas Tech, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, Mississippi State, and Seton Hall just to name a few.

Phenom: Who would you say has been really strong with you as far as building a relationship with you'
Robinson: Definitely all the coaches I communicated with at SMU, TCU, LSU, Arkansas, Colorado, and Arizona State
