There were fantastic performances all weekend long in Rock Hill at the Summer Havoc. Players received exposure, coaches were watching, and several names will be ones to remember.  One player that really made a lasting impression on us is 2022 6’6 Freddie Dilione with Big Shots NC Elite.  We have known Dilione for quite some time now and is up there near the top of the rankings for his 2022 class, as the long prospect was one of the go-to guys at Trinity Christian last year.

This weekend though, Dilione brought his entire game and more and should be fully on the radar of college coaches around the country.

“It went great,” Dilione said when asked about his time in Rock Hill. “Just wanted to be able to push myself past my limits.  Going hard every rep.  I was just hoping to show the coaches what I can do.  And down the road, I want everybody to be on the look out for me and say “Oh, there goes Freddie!”

He certainly did that with scoring output of 19 on Day 1, 25 and 17 on Day 2, and ended on Day 3 with 34 points.  Dilione was on a mission as he was carving up defenses, aggressively attacking the rim, and scoring all kind of ways on the court.  He has excellence size and really displayed that killer mentality this past weekend.  The 2022 prospect showed that he can shoot the ball well from multiple areas, gets to the rack with athleticism, and can also impact the game in multiple ways by rebounding and distributing.

It is crazy to think that he holds no offers but with the way he is performing this summer and what he showed at the Summer Havoc, that should change… the question will be now is who will be the first'

Right now, Dilione mentioned schools like NC State, East Carolina, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Virginia, Providence, Elon, and NC Central have all expressed interest his way, with Wake, VT, and Central being the latest.
